Abstract

This article presents a general overview of the development of Music Therapy as an adjunct tool for healing. The practice and potential of Music Therapy in India focusing on biographical approaches and art-based interventions in mental health forms the central theme of this paper. Three rapidly increasing mental disorders namely, Dementia, ADHD and Autism are central to this synthesis.
